Before treatment with Dr. Barton I suffered from severe and unbearable lower back pain. My initial injury was sustained on the job. In 1974 I was helping a patient into bed and hurt my back. The pain progressed to my lower back and legs. A year later I was in the hospital due to this injury. During the following 10 years I was unable to work as I suffered greatly from severe chronic pain.
I felt desperate and could not go any longer with the pain. I went to a neurologist who referred me to a neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeon wanted to operate on me. But he explained that surgery had no guarantees and there was a chance I could find myself in worse condition. That was a chance I did not want to take.

I feel functional again. I now only go to the clinic once every 4-8 weeks and my pain level is about a 2 on a scale of 10.

My back problem started around the end of high school. My injury was sports-related. A few years later I found out I had several bulging discs.
